Last week Instagram rolled out their ‘Professional Dashboard’, an analytics tool designed to help users turn their passions into a living through Instagram.
Instagram describe the dashboard as ‘a central destination to track performance, access and discover professional tools, and explore educational information curated by Instagram. ‘The Dashboard’ has three key features to track performance, grow your business and stay informed.
– ‘Track performance’ is a place to see your analytics and trends
-‘Grow your business’ puts promotions, branded content, and Instagram shopping all in one place
-‘Stay informed’ has ‘how-to’ guides and articles for creating content and boosting engagement on Instagram.
It’s accessible through creator and business accounts and is meant for anyone who uses Instagram professionally. The features in the dashboard aren’t necessarily new, but this is the first time they have all been put in one place for easy access.
You can find the dashboard by clicking on your own business profile in the bottom left hand of Instagram, then you will see the professional dashboard button at the top.
Instagram recently moved their shopping button to where the likes used to be, which makes it even easier for customers to shop through their platform. With all these new moves, Instagram seem to be positioning themselves as a very business-friendly platform.
